Top Ten Thursday" is the first Thursday of every month, when we all get together to vote for our top ten pubs. These are pubs we have recently visited and for one reason or another, maybe it was the ambience, the booze, or the company, these pubs have stuck in our memory. We enjoyed them so much we thought you'd like to know about them, so here they are - there's no particular order of merit, they're all good pubs.

... A welcome newcomer and an instant five-pinter. - The Old Red Cow (Barbican, London)
... Mr Ustinov would have approved. - The Nobody Inn (Dalston, London)
... An excellent all-rounder, with two great quizzes every week. - The Stag's Head (Hoxton, London)
... A new lease of life for a pub that was on its last legs. - Dog & Bull (Croydon, London)
... A favourite with locals and HRH, apparently, and rightly so. - Churchill Arms (Notting Hill, London)
... If you don't know this pub, where an earth have you been? - White Hart (Sevenoaks, Kent)
... We sincerely hope that Brunning and Price open a few more like these down south. - Vauxhall Griffin (Vauxhall, London)
