Top Ten Thursday" is the first Thursday of every month, when we all get together to vote for our top ten pubs. These are pubs we have recently visited and for one reason or another, maybe it was the ambience, the booze, or the company, these pubs have stuck in our memory. We enjoyed them so much we thought you'd like to know about them, so here they are - there's no particular order of merit, they're all good pubs.

... You're not much of a beer fan, if you haven't visited here. - St. George & The Dragon

... A good bet in this part of town. - The Dove (Hackney, London)
... Save the Eurostar fare - spend it here instead. - Jolly Butchers (Stoke Newington, London)
... Formerly one of the roughest in N16, now one of the best. - Black Horse (Clapton in Gordano, Avon)
... A quintessential English pub. - Nag's Head (Knightsbridge, London)
... Apparently a favourite with a Mr J. Lydon, too. - New Rose (Islington, London)
... "just another pub" - their description not ours, doesn't do this one justice. - Windsor Castle (Notting Hill, London)
... Notting Hill's little piece of the countryside. - Calthorpe Arms (Gray's Inn Road, London)
... An old-school Young's boozer - catch it while you still can.
