It would be quite easy to dismiss this as just another Aussie/Kiwi/South African pub, but we try not to be that shallow. But having taken back the original name of the pub - a trend we're more than happy to support - they've done a reasonable job with it. Unsurprising choice of Fosters, Fosters or Fosters on the taps, oh and Guinness and Strongbow, and the inside is decorated as an Aussie Rules Football fan's dream with framed shirts and the back of the bar's covered in team scarves. There's also tellys everywhere you look - so even if one didn't want to watch telly you really don't have a choice - the promise (or is it a threat?) of Aussie Rules Footy on the tellys is posted around the pub, so there's definitely a sporty theme going on here. The food menu is pretty much pub grub, but there's a Pie stall in one corner, doing Aussie meat pies, if you're into that sort of thing. Quite by accident, we found ourselves in this one on Australia Day - and it was pretty much as you'd imagine it. We're quite intrigued by the promise of "Bogan Bingo" on Sunday nights, so we may try and get back to find out what it's like.
